We have had a lot of queries about sizing of bridal gowns, so here goes hope this helps!
In general wedding dresses are about 2 to 3 sizes smaller than our UK High st. sizes. So if you are usually a size 12 you will need a 16 in a wedding dress!
So do remember, it’s not the number on the tag that matters, does it feel amazing and make you feel like the bride you want to be? That’s all that matters!
Most salons stock sample dresses in a size 10, 12 or 14… which means they’re really only a size 6, 8 or 10 in the High St equivalent!
That’s what makes us different.
We have samples to fit curvy girls from a size 14 High Street and up!
No more “getting squeezed like a sausage” into a dress! (This was one of our brides take on her previous visit to a bridal shop!) In fact we had to clamp most of our samples to make them smaller for her!
Also because most of our dresses have been designed with the curvier girl in mind they are better suited to our curves and offer lots of support in all the right places.
At Curvy Chic Bridal, we carry samples from size 16-32 in bridal dresses, and they are available up to a UK 44.
But to make life easier for brides to be, our bridesmaids dresses range from a slim size 6 to a curvy size 44! So all your bridesmaids can wear the same dress in a size to fit!
We hope this has helped with a very confusing sizing situation
We can’t wait to see you soon!
