The A Line shape dress is the best dress choice for Pear shapes and hourglass figures, because it skims the bottom portion of your body without adding any bulk to your shape. This shape is also fantastic for apple shapes as it adds definition at the waistline, giving the illusion of a smaller waist. These gowns will keep everyone’s eyes on your slim upper body and give your waistline beautiful definition.

A Trumpet style dress is best for those of us with wide shoulders, these gowns are narrow through the waist and then flare out at the bottom. This shape will visually even you out, meaning your shoulders will look more proportional to the rest of your body because of the wide bottom of the dress.

Like the Trumpet style, the Mermaid style dress suit inverted triangle shapes.
